Machinist Fundamentals
Machinists are highly skilled employees that use drawings, precision measuring tools, drilling machines and other specialized machines to shape and finish metal and nonmetal parts. During this course, you learn the fundamentals of shop safety; understanding drawings; taking precision measurements; doing layout work; using drilling machines, grinders, sawing and cutoff machines, lathes and milling machines.
This course will be taught by Mike Williams and will run Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 22 through February 21, 2013 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center.
